The Company

Our client, based in Delft is an expert in creating ‘cell-based’ meat (based on ground-breaking technology). It's still a young and fast-growing company, currently entering the next stage of growth.

Role Description

Due to this growth the company is looking for experienced and motivated Research Technicians to be part of the multidisciplinary team. As a Research Technician you will work with patented animal cell lines and provide support to the Scientists team. It's a lab based hands-on role and you will be at the front of this new field.

Responsibilities

-Working together with our iPSC, scaling and engineering experts;
-You are responsible for the routine cell culture, cell-based analysis experiments and quality control;
-You will assist with executing experiments (to improve the production process);
-Differentiation experiments in a 3D environment;
-Cell testing for optimal scaffold characteristics;
-Analyzing physiological properties of the engineered tissue;

Requirements

-HBO or Master in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Bio-engineering or similar, 3/5+ years working experience, preferably in the industry;
-Experience with developing, growing, maintaining and differentiating iPS cells is a must;
-Experience with molecular & cellular techniques: FACS, qPCR, Fluorescent Microscopy;
-Experience with 3D cell culture (of muscle and fat tissue);
-Fluently English (writing and speaking);
-Eligible to work in the Netherlands. The company does not support working Dutch working permits.
