An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Specialist doctor in Renal and Acute Medicine to work in Jersey. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of seven forward-looking Consultant Physicians over a range of specialities including Cardiology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Elderly Care, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Neurology and Nephrology with a full complement of junior staff, who manage the share of acute medical admissions to 65 inpatient beds plus High Dependency/Coronary Care and Intensive Care units.

The Renal Department provides a comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic kidney and metabolic conditions. The renal unit with its 15 station haemodialysis unit currently treats 40 haemodialysis patients and 10 patients with peritoneal dialysis. There is close liaison with the ITU where facilities exist for haemofiltration. There are at present about 40 patients with functioning kidney transplants.
