Regional Engineering Director - Automotive
Your main goal will be to develop ONE Engineering Organization to execute the development, design, validation, and manufacturing launch of damping products and components into production applications for OE customers.

Our client is a global organization operating in the automotive market. Many years of activity and development allowed our client to play a key role in the forefront of companies in this sector. Supporting the further development of the company, we are looking for a candidate who would be interested in taking up long-term cooperation in the position of Regional Engineering Director
Description
- Develop and execute a strategy to establish a unified engineering organization for the development, design, validation, and manufacturing launch of damping products and components, suspension modules, and damping systems for OE customers
- Collaborate closely with global functional leaders to bring necessary capabilities and company standards to the region to serve local customers and deploy global company strategy
- Drive profitable growth of the OE/S business in the region
- Drive the technical aspects of the regional customer strategy
- Provide guidance and supervision to others on new processes, design concepts, validation testing procedures, feasibility studies, and create a unified team
- Drive cost efficiency in all activities, manage CAPEX and OPEX, and lead the regional team of application engineers
- Support global projects by allocating resources and coach dotted-line functional leaders to enhance their technical and management abilities
Profile
- Have a minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience in the automotive industry and a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Have experience in operations or plant management and highly developed leadership and people management skills
- Have a proven capability to lead cross-functional teams, project management skills, and a track record of building strong customer relationships with OEMs and Tier 1s
- Be able to work in a matrix environment with different reporting lines and have minimum 6 Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt is a plus)
- Have fluency in English (Polish is an asset) and analytical skills
- Be able to make strong decisions based on input from various sources and set a vision for technical excellence and simplify processes in large organizations
- Have strong integrity and dependability skills.
