As a result of dynamic growth of our organization we are currently looking for a candidate for the position of R&D Project Manager to join ABB Technology Center. The Technology Center is integrated into ABB Global R&D organization and the Local Business Unit. As R&D Project Manager You will join the International R&D team to work together with more than 230 scientists and developers on development of the ABB Transformers.
Tasks:
- Manages the execution of one or more R&D projects;
- Project scheduling under constraints and project monitoring (interacting with all involved units);
- Coordinates work of local and cross-functional project team/s;
- Monitors and controls project financials;
- Identifies, contains and reduces risk;
- Serves as the key contact for the project stakeholders;
- Prepares complete project documents in own area of expertise;
- Uses own technical knowledge to provide technical support to colleagues or other functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Science or Engineering;
- Solid experience in project management (at least 5 years);
- Previous power industry experience: product launch and/or power or distribution transformers;
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal customers at all organizational levels;
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, and energize cross-functional teams across multiple sites;
- Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex situations and reduce into stable direction for the development team;
- Excellent problem solving skills.
