Currently the client is experiencing a transitional change from a family company to a bigger organization. They are seeking for a new member to strengthen their R&D department. The company is one of the largest companies producing canned fruits. The company realizes more than 200 million euro turnover. Moreover the company is experiencing a tremendous growth. Due to this reason they are looking for an ambitious employee.

Role Description

For this position you should be able to deal with stress during changing and challenging daily cycles. You like to take the responsibility for improving a production process within the R&D department of a hectic company. You like to be innovative, and take initiative easily in order to make a process work successfully.

Responsibilities

-You are able to implement technological changes in the production process.
-You are able to decide which new products and processes should be implemented in a large scale
-You are able to prepare investment projects and you can give technical advice during the implementation of those projects
-You are able to use tools as OEE, SMED, Lean Six Sigma to give technical and professional advice on topics related to food safety, quality, process safety.
-You are able to identify signs, analyse and report proactively trends and other other challenges within your own responsibilities
-You are able to coach employees on continuous improvement, ownership and self-management
-You are able to change installation procedures regarding new or modified packaging forms
-You guarantee cooperation with relevant departments on changing products, processes and installations
-You are able to cooperate with diverse colleagues in different departments such as product development, production, packaging, QA-QC and technical engineering

Requirements

-You have a HBO/WO (Bachelor or Master) degree in Life Sciences, Food Technology, Chemical technology or some thing related.
-You have more than 5 years experience in a similar function and/or process
-You able to work independently on the implementation of complex projects
-You are very analytical
-You are able to communicate effectively with different layers regarding projects within the organization
-You have a "Hans on" mentality
-You have a knowledge and experience with different improving tools (Such as; Lean, Six Sigma)
-You have good computer skills (MS Office)
-You are able to speak and write in Dutch, English and German
