QA Supplier Manager

Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Brussel Belgium.
Food Multinational in Belgium, EMEA focussed, growing company and looking for strong talent to support their growth.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
For a food company we are in search for a Supplier QA Manager that will report directly to the European Quality Director. In this position you will travel through Europe for 30% of the time, because of audits you will have to do. You can be independent in your own planning and it is necessary that you are hands on and decisive. So you need an entrepreneurial mindset, be open to change and have forward-looking vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organising and monitoring the quality of their suppliers, monitoring non conformities and then effectively communicate the monthly and quarterly progress reports
- Arrange audits for suppliers and sub-contractors: ensure that the schedule is properly implemented and carry out few of them yourself.
- Training, licensing and developing quality auditors.
- Establishing then updating the continental foods quality standard concerning raw materials and suppliers, communicating it into the organisation and ensure it is applied.
- Set up product-specification templates to be used throughout the company.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in English; French or German is an asset
- Bsc. in food science or food processing engineering
- At least 5 years experience in QA Food
- Extensive knowledge with IFS, or otherwise ISO 22000 or BRC
- Knowledge of GMP, hygiene and microbiology
- Experience in meat processing or dairy is an asset
