Project Manager in a Product Development Team

Responsibilities:
• Evaluate program requests by size and scope and determine with Platform Manager and Chief Engineer to assign to either larger program or model year update teams;
• Evaluate all programs by Global Product Development stage gate status and readiness, review scope and definition to get initial budget and timing estimate;
• Set program priorities, build pre-PI program plan and monitor team preparation activity;
• Update Strategic Business Plan and Strategic Product Range Plan, update budget forecast, keep Model Year changes log book;
• Create budgets, forecasts and capital requirements with economic justification linked to project activities;
• Organize team in Sweden and in Kutno, Poland;
• Work with functional group to:
o Develop project milestone documentation;
o Inspect each Global Product Development Task for quality and completeness;
o Create risk matrix and mitigation plans;
o Implement lessons learned;
• Inspect each project scope for:
o Clarity of problem definition;
o Benefit to customer;
o Method to be used do ID and test root cause;
• Define course of action regarding assigned program plan and schedule consistent with project and product line objectives;
• Collaborate with marketing, engineering, product management, manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to ensure project plan execution;
• Assure implementation all the way to end customer (up to a product launch).
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business with an emphasis on project management;
• Demonstrate experience managing Product Development Project s;
• Experience in working in different job roles;
• Demonstrate Risk Analysis and Problem Solving methods experience;
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, deliver a product success;
• Previous experience managing a team;
• Proficiency in English;
• Strong Communication skills.
