Your new role 

This role is responsible for the project management throughout their lifecycle, ensuring that the project goals and benefits are delivered.

This role will define and develop Business Cases and implementation plans, working with project governance and stakeholders to ensure outcomes that align to strategic objectives.  

The role will proactively monitor and control project progress to plan, including identifying risks and issues, tracking project costs, and confirming benefits and associated KPIs. 

The role will be directed by the project sponsor and ensure the necessary stakeholder engagement and sign offs throughout delivery.

The Project Manager will be responsible for defining the project budget and gaining project governance approval.

The role is then accountable for delivery to the agreed budget, using escalation paths to highlight and formally agree any change required during delivery.

The Project Manager is accountable for the total project cost (both forecast and actuals), including resource time captured via Planview Resource Management.’

What you39ll need to succeed 

Previous experience in Project Management role.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, including Business Cases, project planning, stakeholder mapping and comms plans and risk and issue management.
• Proven track record of delivery of workstreams of Data programmes (specifically Data Management, Data Privacy & ILM and Data Cloud Migration).
• Detailed knowledge of a Data & Analytics function within a financial services company. 
• Proven experience of delivery of projects of key pillars of a Data Strategy.
• Conceptual thinking and working from first principles ability, rather than using a standard prescribed formula. 
• Manages cross-functional project teams, setting tasks and objectives and delivering formal appraisals as required.
• Contributes to the development of the project team vision, strategy and methodologies. 
• Manages customer relationships. 
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Prince2, APMP or equivalent formal project management qualification
