Description

organize the use of resources in production to ensure on time delivery
-
reorganise production layout according to lean principles
- secure that work is carried out to the highest degree of safety including effective implementation of all relevant best practices for building and maintaining a safe working environment
- ensure corrective actions in case of delays or identified quality defects
- develop employees and ensuring they possess the right competencies
- follow up the long-term strategy and transform it into short term activities and action plans
- identify, optimize and implement procedures and programs to ensure highest level of productivity and quality standards
- realize and report on defined productivity and financial targets and KPIs
- ensure effective introduction of new products and product groups to the production
- ensure correct registration in SAP according to internal guidelines
- interact closely with production, logistics and procurement to optimize and performance
- ensure compliance with local, national and international laws and regulations at any time
- provide input for investment and operational budgets for Production
Profile
- Theoretical and solid practical experience in production management
- Engineer or similar technical education combined with practical experience in production processes within steel and aluminum production
- Solid know how of Lean management (Value stream mapping, 5S etc.)
- Knowledge of maintenance processes (TPM)
- Proactive, self-driven, ambitious and result oriented
- A visible management style with a hands-on approach
- Strong motivational skills with ability to offer a fair solution of possible conflicts
- Experience from a metal manufacturing environment with high mix and low volume production
- Experienced user of Excel, knowledge of SAP or similar ERP
- Fluent English
