Product & Regulatory Risk Manager, A&H
Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage the product development process for new and existing plans coordinating with all stakeholders – underwriting, distribution, operations, claims, legal, and compliance.
- Manage the product and program launch process to ensure that all parts of the company are ready for product or program releases or enhancements.
- Assess strategic opportunities by evaluating market segment needs. Develop business cases to support the product build / process, responsibilities include developing product specifications, preparing policies and contracts, analyzing data to develop price and positioning, supporting the marketing and sales processes, and ensuring operational readiness.
- Proactively remain current on industry and product trends and monitor regulatory activities.
- Provide regular and detailed communications of product and market status to senior management, including sales and financial performance relative to plan.
- Provide product-specific support to sales, training, network and service associates
- Ensure all state and product initiatives are complaint with regulations, consistent within the division, and meet with company strategies
- Partner with internal and external legal and compliance stakeholders to create and manage a compliance roadmap and prioritize key areas of focus.
- Review and provide analysis and evaluation of compliance requirements for rate, rule and form filings, market regulatory actions, changes to laws, regulations and bulletins, policies and procedures and reporting to determine impact to business area.
- Ensuring adherence to all producer licensing and other regulations as well as other compliance requirements while tracking and reporting on relevant industry developments
- Serving as the primary point of contact for departments of insurance
- Managing the compliance component of onboarding new distribution partners
- Partner with underwriting, operations, and technology to ensure regulatory requirements are contemplated and addressed appropriately as we launch new products, experiences and processes
- When appropriate identify and partner with external compliance vendors to help manage the processes
- Interpret, develop and evaluate continuing flow of information, underwriting bulletins from industry resources and alerts and disseminate to the team
- Represent Accident & Health as required in the development of IT product development such as DIVA and Genius.
- Complete special projects and other functions including interaction with claims, legal and regulatory departments

Qualifications
- You have 5-10 years of experience of A&H products
- You have worked in a compliance related function with a P&C or Life, A&H Company
- You are knowledgeable with regulatory best practices applicable to a producer operating nationally
- You have strong research and analytical skills
