Product Engineer

For our Client – an international automotive company, we are looking for the best Candidate for the position of Product Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Analyse customer requirements and develop internal product specification
- Represent Product Engineering in front of customers, suppliers and project teams
- Review product design on regular basis with ME to ensure cost-optimized manufacturing concept
- Plan and follow up project activities and timing in line with the product development process (PDP)
- Lead design activities by providing technical input and recommendation to the design team
- Perform D-FMEA together with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality
- Prepare and run regular Design Reviews according to PDP
- Lead product validation activities by creating validation plans, tracking test progress and analysing results
- Co-ordinate manufacturing activities ensuring feasibility and robustness
- Support Engineering team to improve components by identifying cost and mass savings opportunities
- Support Purchasing department with supplier selection by assessing supplier’s technical proposals and development capabilities
- Evaluate supplier capabilities to design, develop and test components and identify improvement opportunities by conducting on-site assessments and technical reviews for specific parts
- Support continuous improvement and lessons learned activities

We are looking for candidates who:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive industry
- Experience with Heat transfer and thermodynamic principals
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering and automotive materials
- Familiar with international standards ISO, ASTM, SAE, JIS, DIN, VDA and GD&T
- Experience with reliability engineering (Weibull++, ReliaSoft, Black Belt)
- Experience with simulation tools (Kuli, Modelon, GT suite, Dymola, etc.)
- Fluent in English, German is a strong asset
- Proficient in MS Office tools
- Willing to travel internationally
