Product Engineer (Driveline Systems) (M/F)

For our client, an international Company located in the Swidnica region, we are currently looking fo a Product Engineer to develop driveline systems connected products. Having designs ready an engineer will develop the product throughout lunch up to SOP phase (taking part in product validation, prototyping and tests).

Client Details

• Develops, validates, and implements cost reduction initiatives and proposals
• Monitors and supports problem solving, action plans and responses to customer satisfaction, PPM defects, and warranty issues
• Completes benchmark activities as required to support ongoing process and product improvement activities Collaborates with the Purchasing function and participates in supplier visits, selection, and capabilities assessment.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure manufacturing and assembly capabilities are met. Completes drawing reviews and reaches consensus on requirements and specifications.
• Collaborates with the Quality function to prevent quality issues as well as supporting resolution of quality and warranty issues
• Collaborates with the Product Engineering Technical Center and supports prototype and testing activities
• Forges and maintains relationships with Corporate headquarters personnel and technical specialists

Description

• Develops, builds, and implements new components, products, or technologies
• Develops and documents functional requirements and translates into detail design documents. Participates in buy-build analysis for product components.
• Researches new materials and competitive products.
• Organizes, coordinates, and executes building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
• Works with design and release of core driveline systems for a major customer vehicle application and investigates application-related issues with both internal and customer disciplines.
• Helps create contingency plans to mitigate impact of design/development issues with product applications.
• Recommends enhancements for a major driveline system or related subsystems.
• Specifies application requirements for gear designs, system NVH requirements, CAE process, and functional product validation requirements based on customer requirements.
• Completes reviews, tolerance stacks, mark-ups and approval/release of engineering drawings.Plans enhancement, conversion, and retirement strategies for core applications.

Profile

• Minimum of two years' experience in a Product or Project Engineering position (e.g. design and release responsibility)
• Work experience in the automotive industry highly desired - driveline background preferred.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) skills highly desired
• Self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills
• Confident, reliable and competent representation on all levels; good organizational skills
• Skills in working with international teams
• English written / verbal communication skills required
• German written / verbal communication skills preferred
• Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook etc.) required
• CAD system knowledge (PRO-E, CATIA V5, UG, ETC…) preferred
• Must enjoy working with others
• Willingness to travel, average 20% of time expected, including international travel
