Procurement Category Manager - Steel (Raw Material)
Our Client is an acknowledged international production company, a world leader in its branch. Due to their sustainable growth and strengthening global purchasing structures, they are looking to recruit an experienced Procurement Category Manager (steel category). The successful candidate will be challenged with managing assigned Commodity - Steel - in EMEA region, working closely with business, as well as the plants and distribution centers.

Description
You will report to the Group Director of Strategic Purchasing and Your main duties will be:
- Apply Company's industrial sourcing strategy to Steel commodity
- Strategically manage a regional spend of over 50 Million USD to ensure maximum leverage on suppliers and optimum cost savings
- Development, coordination and implementation of the Steel Category Strategy
- Contribute to further development and improvement of assigned portfolio by risk and opportunities assessment, benchmarking, direct negotiations, etc.
- Lead cross-functional projects with Engineering, Quality, R&D, Sales departments and Leadership Team in order to meet the targets
- Work closely with business in order to achieve annual productivity plans
- Identify new industrial operation capital efficiency opportunities for the group
- Participating annual planning and budgeting
Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Steel category
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing or Commodity Management
- Master's Degree or relevant education in Economics or Engineering
- Post-graduate degree in Purchasing Education would be an asset
- Proven ability to convince people across the organization and understand business requirements
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage senior management and build relationships
- Ability to develop strategies and tactical plans in collaboration with stakeholders
- Business acumen, experiences in sourcing and/or sales in supplier side
- Excellent analytical skills, strong financial knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team
- Results and quality orientation, attention to detail
