Principal Technical Solution Consultant

Miejsce pracy: Wrocław / Remote

Our client is a finance software provider focused on equipping Chief Financial Officers with tools helping to achieve their strategies and ambitions. With their team of 300, they continue to win against the big technology mega-vendors at many of the world’s leading banking, insurance and telecom companies.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensures assistance and advisory services with regards to implemented solutions are provided with the expected quality and within timelines.
  • Acts as an ambassador to the client reassuring appropriate service delivery with being personally credible.
  • Nurtures a trusted advisor relationship based on experience, domain expertise as well as intimate product & industry knowledge.
  • Leads liaisons with internal department leaders to ensure the service delivery realizes value for the client.
  • Ensures issues to the solution are progressed according to internal standards and external metrics, while working alongside the team on getting these resolved.
  • Leads upgrades and any other special event activities with regards to client’s solution, making sure all components of the solution are appropriately covered.
  • Establishes best practices and processes & promotes across team members.
  • Identifies, plans and implements service improvements across all areas of interest.
  • Provides reports to management (regular and on-demand; internally and externally).
  • Mentors and provides guidance to team members along with peer-reviewing.
  • Assigns tasks to team members and monitors their fulfilment along with delivering feedbacks.
  • Develops a knowledge sharing culture within the team and beyond.
  • Organizes & drives lessons learned sessions.
  • Role model for team members with regards to attitude, work ethic, values & behaviors.

Requirements:

 

  • Very good English skills, B2-C1.
  • Experience in working with external clients and different levels of stakeholders (operational, tactical and strategic).
  • Broad experience in software / product development or consultancy.
  • Analytical, client-focused, problem-solving and quick-learner.
  • “Client first” attitude.
  • A leader who builds on knowledge and credibility.
  • Ability to provide concise and accurate updates and explanations to clients and team members.
  • Continuous improvement oriented.
  • Ability to defend ideas and arguments, promote behaviors among peers.
  • Ability to identify known issues and document workflows & processes.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • Experience in accounting principles / revenue streams.
  • Experience in implementation projects for business / finance software would be a benefit.

 

Technical Skills:

 

  • Proven commercial experience in a wide variety of databases, with special focus on PL/SQL, Teradata etc.
  • Contribute to database design.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
  • Experience with ETL + BI tools & platforms.
  • Experience in DWH tools and systems.
  • Exposure to performance tuning (databases).
  • Experience in programming (Oracle, Java etc.).
  • Exposure to Tomcat or any other Webserver.
  • Scheduling tool experience (Control-M / Autosys / Other) a bonus.
  • Experience with Cloud-based solutions.

 

Availability:

 

  • Work inside client’s business hours.
  • Possible occasional standby cover during major events (period closes, upgrades, changes).
