Plant Manager - FMCG FOOD
Manage day-to-day operations including quality, production and maintenance in food manufacturing factory. The position requires understanding cost parameters, grasp of operational efficiency and ability to respond to changing demand needs. The new Plant Manager will report to Operations Director and Member of the Board. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring and improving the productivity, quality and developing team members.

Our client is a market leader in its branch - FMCG food sector. Production plant is located in Kujawsko - Pomorskie area. Globally company exports to more than 50 countries. Products are sold under the own brand and under a private label. The company is IFS and BRC certified.
Description
- Provide motivational and inspirational leadership to the management team
- Responsible for running the site in terms of operational management (production, maintenance, quality, warehouses and procurement departments)
- Create the environment, plan and procedures to ensure the timely and complete delivery of all orders through the organization while ensuring that they are delivered within company and industry quality standards and cost objectives
- Monitor division performance against performance goals to ensure that objectivies are being met and take corrective action if necessary
- Initiate and participate in long-term and short-term planning of production facility capacity and output
- Negotiate with Clients and suppliers to ensure proper economics and quality of products and services
- Design plans and processes improvement to enable the business to be prepared for the future growth
- Communicate and educate to employees to embrace business's Lean transformation programs
- Improve efficiency of production so as to generate higher margins
- Participate in the budgeting process and ensure budget execution
- Drive up performance and quality
Profile
- Master's Degree in Operations, Engineering, Technical or equivalent field
- Track record of experience in labour intensive, low-margin, flexible environments, FMCG sector preferably
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing processes - food, chemical or cosmetics experience would be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in managing production units in a fairly independent manner within a standardized environment
- Proven leadership experience. Ability to motivate and guide team members throughout the organization, and to maintain efficient and productive work relationships
- Proven track record of experience in implementing standards and procedures as well as innovative solutions to improve/reduce costs of systems/processes
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Native Polish language speaker and moderate to strong English spoken, written and presentation
- High level of competence and communication skills to be able to support different departments
- Experience in successful implementation and running of recognized process improvements
- Open minded, business oriented, strong and integrative leadership personality
- Excellent communication skills and clear focus in business profitability
