Payroll Specialist with Finnish
Responsibilities:
• Acts as a member of the Payroll team and proactively liaises with vendors, HR, employees, Payroll Accounting and Controllership to ensure that payroll is processed efficiently
• Responsibilities to include input, process payroll and administer all outputs of payroll
• Calculates the correct amount incorporating work time, overtime, time off, deductions, bonuses etc.
• Keeps track of wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
• Processes taxes and payment of employee benefits
• Prepares and executes pay orders through the vendor
• Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of payroll
• Handles queries regarding payroll from employees and managers
• Prepares reports for upper management, finance department etc.
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor degree in economics/vocational education in Payroll or corresponding work experience
• Proven experience as Finland Payroll Specialist
• Experience in working in large/medium-sized companies is an asset
Knowledge and Skills:
• Proven experience in processing and managing payroll in Finland
• Solid understanding of accounting in payroll
• Very good knowledge of the local legislation and regulations
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Advanced in English is a must
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Outstanding time management skills, ability to prioritize and to work on projects
• Good business acumen
