Job summary
Your will join a team of developers to implement a cutting edge, cloud first, serverless application within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology stack using technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB and API Gateway.
Your team will be at the heart of a multi-channel programme of work that includes API driven Web, iOS & Android applications being run by multiple teams across multiple regional development offices.
You will work with strategists, UX, solution design, architects, designers, developers and QA to understand the project needs and requirements, translate these into new and improved web experience solutions, and collaborate with multiple teams to bring the projects to life. AWS experience is desired, but not required for this role, as you will be expected to learn the AWS infrastructure & application development paradigms while working. This is a great opportunity for a senior NodeJS developer looking to break in AWS serverless development.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, test and deploy a serverless application built entirely using scalable components such as AWS Lambda (NodeJS), DynamoDB, RDS and API Gateway.
- Automate the creation and management of all AWS Infrastructure using Cloudformation and AWS SDK
- Write clean, lean, well-documented code and ensure your team members do the same.
- Work with your development team and the wider project programme teams to spread knowledge, develop resources and overcome issues.
- Accountable for the core infrastructure system stability, performance and security
- Accountable for ensuring all dependant parallel projects are able to integrate and use the core system.

- As a NodeJS Javascript developer you will have proven experience in delivering applications built using the technology as well as have solid understanding of the supporting concepts such as NPM, module development patterns, asynchronous control flow, relational & NoSQL databases etc
