Murex Senior Allrounder
Location: Remote PolandThe SwapClear service is the largest Interest Rate Swap clearing house in the world, playing a crucial role in global financial infrastructure by clearing $3 trillion notional per day across hundreds of products. Murex sits at the heart of this platform, clearing most of the worlds clearable swap trades daily.
The Senior Murex Developer role is working as a core member of the SwapClear Murex development team, helping lead the implementation of releases of product enhancements and new functionality on the SwapClear platform. The successful candidate should have a good technical understanding of Murex and an appreciation of financial markets, preferably in Interest Rate Derivatives. Hands on experience with Java, Oracle and Linux is essential for the successful candidate.
A strong desire to learn in a rapid work environment is essential, along with good communication and team skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of the analysis, design, build/config, testing and delivery of Murex solutions for delivery of both enhancements and new functionality on the SwapClear platform.
- Take responsibility for identification, estimation and reporting on progress of tasks, along with liaising across the BA, developer and Continuous Integration teams.
SKILLS
MUST
- Experience in FO and Risk modules in Murex
Murex areas of Front Office config, generators, curves, pricing, VaR, scenarios, MRA/MRB, stress
- Experience of Murex Datamart and MxMLExchange beneficial
- Database experience (Oracle), competent at SQL
- Understanding of version control (Git)
- Understanding of UNIX scripting
- Some experience of OOP, e.g. Java (JUnit 5 is used by the team for automated testing against Murex)
- Good understanding of financial products, in particular Interest Rate Derivatives
