Role description
Within this role, you would support the development of intelligent cultures for fermented milk applications. You will focus on new ingredients, bacteria, based on what the market is asking for – for example, the team is currently working on a new product (a yoghurt) for the Mexican market.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of intelligent culture blends for fermented milk applications.
- Analyze bioprotection provided by starter cultures against unwanted yeast and fungi.
- Support production of yoghurt-type prototypes.
- Apply general microbial analysis techniques such as acidification curves.
- Keep the contact with external stakeholders and update them about the product you are developing for them.
Requirements
- Background in Microbiology.
- Some previous experience working in a lab and microbiological testing.
- Fluent Dutch and English skills.
- Hands-on mentality, great communication skills.
