The Company

They develop vaccines that are the first or best in their class and protect against some of the world's most life-threatening infectious diseases. The pathogens against which vaccines are developed include Ebola, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Extra-intestinal Pathogenic E. coli (ExPEC), Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), polio and influenza.

Role Description

You work in the Medical Information Center, which provides high quality, fast medical information services supporting immunology products to affiliates around the world.

This is a maternity leave cover with limited possibilities for extension, but other opportunities may arise depending on budget and performance.

You must be on-site at least 3 days per week in Leiden.

Responsibilities

(1) development of expert therapeutic area knowledge related to the company's immunology products;
(2) expertise on practices and policies in the field of medical information, including applicable compliance regulations and codes of conduct;
(3) knowledge and maintenance of the department's information management systems;
(4) provision of responses to incoming medical information requests from affiliates;
(5) adequate documentation of the requests and their responses;
(6) recognition and processing of incoming adverse events and product complaints as assigned by the Safety Officer and according to company policies;
(7) development standard medical information materials, eg slide kits and medical letters;
(8) provision of support to other Global Medical Affairs departments for special scientific projects and congresses, as needed;
(9) support to Medical Affairs Europe for special projects as needed;
(10) assistance to the Medical Information Center Supervisor/Manager and Global Medical Affairs management on continuous improvement of the department's activities, systems and policies.

Requirements

• HBO (BSc) degree in a biomedical field;
• Minimal 1-2 years of relevant experience;
• Ability to travel 10% of the time;
• Ability to work from the Leiden office at least 3 days per week.
