For our customer, an international company producing pumps we are currently looking for Marine Lead Product Engineer. As a Marine Lead Product Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining the marine segment product portfolio competitiveness to the highest level on the market.
The Lead Product Engineer supports the life-cycle of product(s) in production including the redesign of existing products and general laboratory testing and evaluation. In particular, you will be responsible for new product design, optimisation of existing product lines, redesign for cost reductions or product standardisation and product line expansions. You will be expected to support in-service operating systems to ensure continued operation and maintenance and optimise throughput. You will be asked to collect and evaluate service use and maintenance data; conduct root cause analyses of in-service problems (e.g., operational hazards, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, reliability and maintainability trends, safety hazards, and failure causes and effects) and implement corrective actions. Being Lead Product Engineer you will be the first point of contact within the product engineering group and Project Engineering and Product Management
To succeed in this role you should have higher technical degree together with proven capabilities in handling mechanical calculations and high level of expertise using 3D CAD design tools (SOLIDEDGE, AUTODESK INVENTOR and VAULT). You should have experience in project management as well as knowledge of plastic design technologies and knowledge of metallurgy, machining and casting processes (sand, shell and pressure die casting).. At least basic AC/DC motors and relevant controls knowledge is required. Ability to communicate in English on all levels within the organization and with external suppliers is a must.
