Managing Director in SERBIA - Global Automotive Company
The person in this position will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the production plant, including the creation of the budget and strategy
Client Details
Our client is a globally recognised automotive company, which have more than 20 production plants; they constantly increasing in global market share by launching new production plants and programs. Due to further development plans, we are looking for strategic role of Managing Director for production plant in Serbia.
Description
- Achieve extraordinary results by driving continuous improvement / global excellence initiatives through the implementation of the Company Production System
- Consistent implementation of processes for internal and external customers to support product, quality, delivery and shipping requirements - strict observance of Service Level Agreements as well as Intercompany regulations.
- Meet all budgetary commitments whilst striving constantly to increase the Plant's productivity and profitability as well as enabling and managing business growth
- Daily management and coordination of all plant operations, including Production, Process Engineering, Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, HR, HS&E, Global Excellence and Project Management while ensuring compliance with all labour, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations
- Reporting against budget monthly to Regional Management explaining any variations and defining actions to be taken if budgets not met
- Monitor plant performance against financial KPI's (cost and budget) to ensure progress is being made and corrective actions are taken if necessary
- Prepare and submit an annual operational budget to Regional Management for review and approval. Manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
- Constructive and successful cooperation with the worker`s council
- Provide clear leadership and promote and foster a team culture consistent with the NORMA values as well as manage intra-group relationships
- Direct reporting line to Senior Director Operations Fluid EMEA
Profile
- 5 years of experience as Managing Director, Plant Manager in Automotive company with management of full Plant P&L
- Degree (Diploma/Master) in (industrial) engineering or business administration
- Experience in managing a production plant abroad
- Fluent in and English is a must, Serbian is nice to have
- Strategic and analytical mindset
- Dynamic and assertive personality with strong communication skills
- Sound leadership experience and ability to build effective teams as well as a decisive management style
- Long-term experience in leading projects and lean management
- Target driven and results focused individual
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of the target market.
