Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As the Logistics Specialist GDP you are responsible for managing, maintaining and further advancing the client’s Cold Chain department which is used to supply their products to the customers. You will also be involved in improvement projects and will be responsible for a portfolio of shipping solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Logistics Specialist GDP you will be interacting and collaborating on a daily basis with external and internal stakeholders on global and local level. Interactions with supply chain partners on current needs and will be reporting and dealing with escalations and continuous improvement activities. The client’s products are cold chain products and a strong emphasis and focus on compliance and cold chain management is a must, making sure that the transportation of the products are in according to GDP. Having knowledge of various country legislations is required since you will be assessing possible implications that may affect the transportation solutions used.

REQUIREMENTS

- Management of the Regional Supply Chain Europe plan for Cold Chain related temperatures.
- Management of Cold Document and maintaining of regional procedures for the most effective distribution of the Cold Chain products to the client’s customers
- Ensuring and overseeing the European transportation lane validation.
- Leading and initiating lead projects on cold chain for the European Supply Chain aimed at improved services, increased efficiency and enhanced compliance.
- Leading investigations into incidents in the cold chain, which includes root cause investigations and initiating corrective and preventative (CAPA) measures.
- Respond and support audit requests for the European Supply Chain on Cold Chain related issues.
- European Key contact and actively participate in the client’s network, ensuring best practice alignments and sharing.
- Establish, maintain and improve relevant KPIs and performance statistics

OTHER

- BSc or MSc in Supply Chain, Logistics or in Business, Operations or Engineering.
- 5 years’ work experience in a logistical or supply chain role, preferably in a heavily regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in management and negotiating suppliers, providers and supply chain partners.
- Experience with project management in collaboration with several departments and geographies, you will be hosting meetings and be working with numerous stakeholders.
- Experience with continuous improvement processes and the ability to understand and oversee those processes beyond own department.
