logistics manager
Gdańsk- Contract of employment or B2B contract
- Annual bonus
- Possibility to create the strategy regarding setting up the new company
- Supervising and creation of strategy to implement the logistics of setting up new storage hubs and transportation’s policy
- Manage activities throughout the purchase cycle, order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
- Keep transport costs down
- Daily contact with stakeholders (customers, sellers, different departments of supply chain)
- Checking and maintaining of the balance between demands and commitments (short and long positions);
- Change management (setting the conformity up between the deep planning and daily issues; like technical, quality, traffic obstacles)
- Key role in different logistics projects (building the transport flow of transports, cost efficiency)
- Responsibility for arranging deliveries, checking inventories and contracts
- Negotiating contracts
- Ensuring compliance and shipping laws
- Identify and develop strategic supply sources for the assigned commodities, managing relationships with all suppliers
- Optimizing supplier performance
- 3 years experience in a team management
- Expertise in logistics management specific to rural agriculture inlcuding: Trucks, Rail, Sea-Going vessels , Silo Storage
- Master’s degree in business management, operations management, logistics, economics or comparable
- Good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
- Knowledge of computer programs - MS Office
- Proven track record in the logistics management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
