On behalf of our Client, a US company that delivers complete hybrid IT solutions, from cloud to mainframe, tailored to each client’s journey, we are looking for Candidates for the position of Network Engineer.
Your new role
You’ll be part of a 3rd Line Support team, supporting the mission critical infrastructure of our clients, delivering a responsive and exceptional support service you’ll resolve complex technical client incidents and problems escalated from internal departments. Using your proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills you will help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to optimist our clients’ infrastructure.You will be responsibility for supporting and maintaining high availability enterprise client infrastructures, proactive improvement to client infrastructures, resolve complex technical incidents and problems escalated by other internal departments, review system performance and identify, recommend and implement corrective actions, attend Client service reviews to provide technical support and presence, provide transition support for complex projects and solutions, perform server go-live and decommissioning tasks, building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, implementation of operational procedures, tools and best practice, knowledge transfer across the team through documentation of papers, processes and procedures, execute change management tasks in line with defined processes
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you should have at least 3 years’ experience on similar position, deep understanding of server and network infrastructure architecture, knowledge of Clustering technologies (e.g. Veritas Cluster), good understanding of Internet technology and services (particularly Apache), knowledge of backup strategies and systems (preferably NetBackup), good knowledge of TCP/IP, understanding of security issues and ability to read/define and troubleshoot firewall rules and load balanced configurations, knowledge/experience of ITIL standards highly desirable, understanding of security issues and ability to read and define firewall rules and load balance configurations is beneficial, also excellent demonstrable English written and verbal communication skills is necessary. Red Hat (RHCE), VMware and ITIL certificates will be a plus.
