Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.

This company is a well-known company in the Food industry.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Lead Purchaser you are responsible for the purchasing of (tropical) fruits. You will be working in an international team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Procurement of tropical fruits
- Negotiations with suppliers about purchase conditions, prices and framework agreements
- Implementation of procurement plans
- Managing tactical and strategic purchase processes;
- Observation and analysis of international procurement markets
- Evaluate and communicate market-specific data
- Select, assess and develop global suppliers
- Giving feedback to suppliers about the quality of their products

REQUIREMENTS

- Graduated in business studies, food sciences or something related
- > 5 years of work experience in procurement in the food industry
- Experience within the fruit, exotics, vegetables, juice or agricultural industry is an additional plus
- International oriented and flexible to international travelling;
- Good computer operational skills, in SAP and MS Office
- Strong communication skills in English
- Pro-active, flexible, energetic
- Being able to work in an entrepreneurial, international environment within a performance-oriented organisation
