Laboratory Technician Level III' – Full Time Positions

About the company

NUTOPI Sp. z o. o. is located in PPNT (Poznański Park Naukowo-Technologiczny) where a vibrant environment of startups is present. The team consist of 4 full-time employees working with techniques as ELISA, LFI and PETIA. The company’s is involved in research and development of new IVD products for its international customers and recently the company has advanced from being a R&D facility only to also include production and assembly of IVD medical devices.

The Job

NUTOPI is currently looking for an experience Laboratory Technician which also will be responsible for logistic related tasks. Additional responsibilities for the role on site at NUTOPI:

• Ensure ongoing studies are measures with different techniques according to plan.
• Execute bioassay and immunoassay experiments in a GLP/GMP environment to support Quality Controls of buffers, antibodies etc.
• Maintain lists of consumables and reagents and ensure an uninterrupted supply by ensuring timely order placement, receiving and stocking
• Work with site services and external vendors to coordinate, conduct, and document equipment calibration/preventative maintenance.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and can reliably conduct complex analysis with increased independence.
• Performs a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure biomarkers in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices.
• Follows validated or experimental analytical procedures with limited supervision.
• Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications.
• Enters data into databases and reports.
• Performs self review for own data prior to QC submission.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Masters degree or higher in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.) or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 4+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple applicable techniques such as: ELISA, Bioassays, Immunoassays.
• The applicant has tidiness and good organizational skills.
• Experience in a Regulated Lab strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word (Make graphs and use functions in Excel).
• Method Validation experience is preferred.
• Flair for equipment maintenance and operation of different kind of equipment software. • Experience with bioassay/immunoassay data analysis software packages (MedCalc, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
• Proven ability to interpret data by performing trend analysis.
• Proven ability in technical writing skills.
• Ability to independently optimize analytical methods.
• Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Time management and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team.
• Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.
• Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.
• Abilities to fix and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
• Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.
• Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants, toxic materials and hazardous waste.
• Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
• Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
• Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
• Ability to perform under stress.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
