THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Biotechnology organization, based in Brussel Belgium.

The company is a young biotech company specializing in the development of immune therapies for the treatment of cancer and infectious diseases.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

You are a hands-on person who will be responsible for the performance of in vitro and in vivo tests and investigations for pre-clinical development. In addition, you are also expected to provide input on the implementation, optimization and validation of new methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- perform a variety of routine and specialist laboratory tests, animal experiments, and sample preparations including: cell culture of mouse and human cell lines, animal studies and tumor models, analysis of tumor cells/immune cells using flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, CTL assay etc.
- development of new techniques/assays
- maintenance of equipment and lab areas
- accurate reporting of test results, documentation and lab journals
- troubleshooting experimental techniques, data analysis and reporting

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor in Laboratory Techniques or a MSc in Biomedical Sciences or a related field
- minimum of two years relevant laboratory experience, either academic or industrial
- broad technical expertise in immunology, mastering of for instance ELISA, ELISpot, flow cytometry etc.
- authorized to work with animals and perform laboratory experiments (FELASA)
- working knowledge of GLP and laboratory quality protocols is a plus
