Our client is a professional FMCG organization, based in Utrecht Netherlands.
They are one the largest companies in the world when it comes down to FMCG. Despite this they are still growing in the European and Asian market. Are you the junior planner this company needs?
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the Junior Supply Planner you will be in charge of the inventory levels in the logistics center. To do this efficiently you will need to communicate often with colleagues from all sorts of departments such as: procurement, distribution and of course various suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for the inventory levels to make sure all customers are able to buy their FMCG whenever they need. To be able to this the planer needs to order inventory from suppliers throughout the world. Also you will be responsible for:
- Making Sea freight planning
- Making sure the ordered goods are well received
- Giving sales prognoses based on promotional sales differences and seasonal change
- Maintaining contact with suppliers and the procurement department about item availability and quality
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or similar
- A preference towards 1 or 2 years’ experience in a logistical role
- Fluent in both English and Dutch
- Knowledge of inventory/replenishment management and software required for this
