Your new company 

For our Client, a leading global software developer with location in Katowice, we are currently looking for Java Developer. 

Your new role 

• Our mission is to customise the standard product software for our customers

• You will build new business processes or adjust existing business processes on

• Cash register systems (there are many variants for retail, restaurants, fashion customers), Scale systems, Self checkout systems

• Central services - e.g. Cash management services, POS reporting services, Master data management services, Goods flow monitoring systems, Store Manager, Promotion designer, etc.

• Mobile devices, Edge services,

• You will integrate 3rd party systems via all kind of interfaces such as e.g. web services (payment, loyalty, couponing, master data integration etc.)

• Integration with hardware such as payment devices, printers, scanners etc.

It requires a lot of technical knowledge since we have a distributed system with many different deployment patterns – software running locally and offline capable on the devices in the store and centralised services that need to serve millions of transactions

• The architecture and business processes are really complex, the amount of technologies is high

• The product innovations (with new technologies and new architecture patterns) come very often

What you39ll need to succeed 

▪ You are a graduate of a technical university (ideally specialising on SW development).

▪ You possess good knowledge of Java J2SE or EE

▪ You are familiar with terms such as SQL and XML

▪ We will be pleased if you already have experience with Maven, Spring, GIT, JUnit, Webservices,

Hibernate and CI (Jenkins, Nexus), JavaScript

▪ You have a logical and analytical way of thinking

▪ You are not afraid to communicate either in English or German

▪ You are able to work on your own but also have a team spirit

What technologies do we use?

• Main development happens in Java (Spring Core, ActiveMQ, Apache Camel, Log4J, AltovaMapforce, Jasper, JUnit)

• Frontend development is done in TypeScript / JavaScript (UI5, VueJs)

• Databases are

- MS SQL and in future Postgres and Mongo for microservices

- Oracle, SAP Hana for enterprise applications (onPrem)

- Derby for cash register system

• REST architecture, webservices (Spring)

• JavaPos for POS HW integration

• DSL languages (domain objects, screen flow in cash register applications)
