IT Release Manager
Location: WroclawThe aim of Release Management is 'To enable the delivery of approved changes to IT Services through a controlled, efficient & cost-effective process that maintains production stability and integrity, balancing the demand for business-driven change with understood and accepted the risk'. You will be part of the TOC AM Release Management team that drives and supports this vision within AM Technology. You will be responsible as part of a matrix organisation to drive adherence and risk awareness across AM Technology and the full portfolio of changes. You will look for innovative opportunities to enhance and develop the process, increasing automation, while maintaining control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help define and continuously improve the Release Management Standards, Processes, Controls and Taxonomy
- Effectively operate and monitor the Release Management Process within AM Technology
- Managing the planning of the overall change portfolio of Changes within AM Technology
- Review of the Master Change Plan to identify potential congestion in the forward view of change
- Drive the Asset Management Technology CAB to manage the risk to production and drive adherence and quality across the AM Technology
- Maintain an in depth understanding of the workings of ReleaseNow, to enable incident & problem identification, reporting, continuous improvement and process evolution
- Maintain and enhance documentation and training for the Release Management process as it applies to AM Technology and derive innovative means to communicate the intent and need to the users, regulators and auditors of the tool and process
- Represent AM Technology the GT CAB and Release Management Forums
- Present high-quality data on demand to Technology colleagues (at individual and committee levels) relating to the Release Management controls and processes and risk of the change portfolio
SKILLS
MUST
- Experience of working in a Release Management role
- An understanding of ITIL, Controls standards and Release Management principles
- Strong attention to detail in all tasks
- An enthusiastic and dynamic team player who can work well with a global team
- Confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
- Able to quickly identify solutions and manage priorities when issues arise
- Quick to produce accurate, concise information to tight deadlines, and to present that information professionally and in the right way to the required audience
- Great at multi-tasking and prioritizing your busy workload
- Confident and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
