IT Manager

The IT Manager will manage the local IT team supporting the regional plants, this team will consist of Helpdesk, field technicians, technical staff, and application analysts. The IT Manager will identify, recommend, implement, and maintain a Company-wide infrastructure and applications focused on securing the network and systems while simultaneously using new technology to assist the business in optimizing its performance.

Description

  • Evaluate, hire, and manage the local team. Identifying expanding and transformational roles.
  • Align the global vision and roadmap to the local business needs and expectations
  • Align with global team applications, processes, procedures, and polies to ensure standard and best practice solutions across the regional needs
  • Identify and submit projects and support requests for global team. Track SLA and improve overall performance for delivery for the region.
  • Collaborate with business units to assist in achieving departmental and corporate objectives while ensuring all compliance and security protocols are maintained.
  • Proactively engage business unit managers to understand current business trends and customer requirements.
  • Partner with business units and serve as regional partner for the Global team when implementing new systems, functions, or applications.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to design, implement, and maintain a technological infrastructure allowing individual business units to maximize productivity.
  • Develop and implement IT protocols to assist in maintaining the integrity of the company network and addressing current or potential vulnerabilities through root cause analysis.
  • Implement appropriate security protocols based in Global Cybersecurity and infrastructure programs including ensuring that the network is regularly monitored for potential security breaches.
  • Ensure that all network components meet the business need, work fluidly with other components and are fully optimized.
  • Track hardware and software assets and their lifespan, determining technical trends and rotating out at end of life accordingly.
  • Work with individual facilities on phone systems, security systems, and additional technology required such as copiers, printers, tablets, or other devices.
  • Work with Global programs to identify appropriate suppliers and programs to maintain adequate inventory levels of hardware to avoid delays in productivity; track all devices and ensure a fluid issue and retrieval process including individual acknowledgement of receipt.
  • Prepare a cost benefit analysis report when submitting projects, upgrading hardware and/or software for the regional leadership and or Global IT to evaluate the potential ROI
  • Train employees on new software, hardware, policies, security measures and provide support as needed.

Profile

  • Proven experience in supporting business in the roles of IT teams (Infrastructure, Helpdesk, applications, and development).
  • Hands experience working with business teams to identify technology objectives and develop IT roadmap for delivering on goals
  • Leading any or multiple IT support structure (infrastructure, applications or development teams)
  • of in-depth technical support in Application implementations and/or development support.
  • Leading internal teams or regional services that require effective communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Logical and efficient.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
