For our Client, well-known international manufacturing company we are looking for a person interested in the role of IT Lead Architect (Automation, Event Management, Digital)
Your new role
• Design and maintain the overall architecture and strategy / evolution of the platform / technology areas within IT Operations. Especially on Event Management and Monitoring solution, Service Automation solutions, Preventive Maintenance topics, etc.
• Being the Gate Keeper for all elements being developed on or for the platform/technology such that these are designed and implemented according the platform/technology strategy.
• Assess the impact of the future business, data and technology architecture on the platform / technology together with the solution architects.
• Ensuring that all future solution architecture provided by partners align to the overall Enterprise-wide platform architecture
Key responsibilities:
• Governance: Drives governance body (e.g. platform architecture board) for a certain platform / technology to ensure compliance of all projects to the desired target architecture Participates in business and architecture planning sessions and anticipates future business and architecture changes and strategies Communicates implications of application architectural decisions, issues and plans with the enterprise architect Guidance of the solution architects according the strategy and roadmap of the platform
• Platform: Understands vendor roadmap for the particular platform Defines the road-map of our platform according to the vendors roadmap and the business requirements
• Architecture: Owns and creates the application master construction plan for the platform Facilitates alignment between projects implementing changes on a particular platform Clarifies inter-dependencies between multiple implementation projects Works with Solution Architects / Process Manager / Program and Project Manager to review business drivers, needs and strategies and understand implications to the application architecture
What you'll need to succeed
- Leadership and people management
- Ability to lead discussion and analyse complex situations
- Methodological expertise
- Comprehensive experience in project management and consulting methods as well as in program
management
Strong understanding of good requirements engineering and scope management
- Subject-matter expertise
- 6+ years of relevant experience in developing multi-solution and multi-sourced business
applications within a specific functional and/or technical domain
- Understanding of relevant technologies and development life cycles including application vendors
and service providers, sourcing models and methodologies
- Specialisation area knowledge over IT Operations Event Management, Monitoring and automation
solutions
- Practical know-how in designing and implementing systems for preventive maintenance, event
based automation scripting or similar
Technical skills:
ServiceNow system know how
Event Management and Monitoring systems and platforms for Infrastructure, SAP and Non-SAP Monitoring
Automation scripting technologies and solutions
