THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Drenthe Netherlands.
The company is a mid-sized player in the food ingredients sector.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for food safety, product quality, environment, health and safety on the production site. You will lead a team of 3 QC Analysts and work closely with Production to improve QA performance and efficiency on the one hand, and with R&D and Sales on the other hand for new product launches. You are a member of the MT and as such will set the QA policies for the site and develop both short- and long-term strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the quality system.
- Handle complaints and follow up with RCA and improvement plans in case of structural issues.
- Lead the QC Lab (3 fte).
- Prepare and successfully complete internal and external audits.
- Keep track of changes in legislation touching on food safety and SHE.
- Work closely together with R&D and Sales.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Food Quality Management, or similar.
- At least 8 years of experience with Quality Assurance in the food industry, some years of which in a management position.
- Experience in the MT is an asset.
- Experience with HACCP, BRC and GMP+.
- Experience with SHE is an asset.
- Fluency in Dutch and English required, fluency in German is a plus.
