Main tasks
- Being the GROUP Site HSSE representative on the Construction Site, he has to act as the HSSE Independent Authority on Site
- The GROUP Site HSSE Manager is responsible of the “all aspect” HSSE management on site. The GROUP Site HSSE Manager is responsible to act as coordinator between the various contractors’ HSSE managers
- The GROUP Site HSSE Manager is responsible to provide specialist assistance in the preparation of Safe Working Method Statements, Permits to Work and ensure these are obtained before work commences
- The GROUP Site HSSE Manager is responsible to review all HSSE plan, documents and tools of the various Site Contractors
- The GROUP Site HSSE Manager shall act independently from any productivity and quality criteria
- Responsible for proper induction of Human health and safety requirements across all phases of the project and alignment amongst various involved parties
- Incorporating requirements from Cargill Environmental, Health and Safety BU into developing the plan for safe work permits during construction
- Consolidating the health and safety deliverables in alignment with the project schedule
- Lead pre-mobilisation meetings with contractors in regards to H&S aspects
- Coordinating H&S meetings with contractors
- Responsible to organise Construction Safety Audit in consultation with BU organisation
- Assisting Site Manager with necessary H&S input in various project reports (leading/lagging indicators)
- Fit incentive schemes / safety campaigns into the project schedule to enhance commitment of involved workforce
- Responsible for identifying and communicating all human health and safety regulatory and permitting requirements and planning for compliance
- Work with BU and location resources to establish contractor qualification procedure and maintain qualified bidder lists
- Verify that each contractor has appointed a safety representative
- Verify contractors and sub-contractors are conducting effective Pre-Job Hazard Analysis (PJHAs)
- Coordinate and perform contractor work site inspections and BBS observations
- Coordinate contractor safety recognition programs
- Coordinate /perform incident investigations, documentation and follow-up
- Collect contractor injury and illness data and hours worked and maintain project’s safety statistics
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience
- Local law knowledge
- Project management skills – meeting deadlines is crucial
