Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Mechanik pojazdów ciężkich

For our Client, we are looking for Candidates for the position of: Mechanic of heavy vehicle

Location: Pirmasens, Germany

DUTIES:

• Operates, repairs, and maintains heavy power construction equipment such as compressors, pumps, hoists, shovels, trucks, tractors, graders, bulldozers, front-end loaders, scrapers, motor graders, skid steers and associated equipment, and fire trucks.
• Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Responsible for operating equipment to maintain roadways and firebreaks by excavating, moving, and grading earth.
• Disassemble and reassemble engines and mechanical units to inspect and diagnose parts using computerized test equipment, calibration devices, gauges, etc.
• Repair and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair air conditioning systems.
• Calibrate load monitoring indicators to ensure safe and reliable lifts.
• Rebuild hydraulic cylinders, valves, planetary drive units, suspensions, springs, bushings, and kingpins.
• Replace seals and bearings, axel brakes, and crane rigging.
• Rebuild hydraulic cylinders, valves, planetary drive units, suspensions, springs, bushings, and kingpins.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Licensed or trained to operate applicable items of heavy equipment.
• Prefer motor vehicle air conditioning certification and experience.
• Specialized knowledge and skills in diesel and heavy automotive repair and maintenance.
• Skilled in replacing major components and parts on engineering and construction equipment.
• Practical understanding of theory of hydraulics (Pascal Theory), pulley, and gear ratio.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of diagnostics and ability to conduct technical research on the computer.
• Completed training in Vehicle Maintenance or related field from military technical school or an accredited technical school/college/university.
• Minimum communicative knowledge of English: speaking, reading and writing.
• Must be a EU resident and authorized to work in Germany.
