Would you like to become a part of rapidly growing IT company? Currently, for one of our Clients from Switzerland we are searching for Head of IT Engineering, who will office in Wrocław.
Your new role
Working as a Head of Engineering you will be in charge of:
● Build, retain and lead a team of developers, technical product managers, technical support, release manager and QA tester through coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance.
● Liaise with the company’s executive team & CTO to help drive its strategy
● Build a scaling product - Define, articulate, and execute engineering strategy from launch to scale
● Translate product specifications into technical requirements for engineers and deliver clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact
● Build the systems required for testing, trials, commercial launch, and beyond
● Constantly evaluate technological advancements and innovative solutions to drive continuous product improvement
● Implement best practice coding methodologies, processes and tools
● Advocate/lead best practices for performance, reliability, scalability, security, and reusability.
● Design and implement testing frameworks
● Gain and share insights with other leadership team members to continue improving the product and the business
● Take ownership over existing MVP features/ MVP production systems to grow and scale
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be relevant candidate you need to have demonstrated experience in building and growing top performing software engineering teams. Moreover, you need to be experienced in people management from an HR perspective, including recruiting, hiring, retention, coaching, career planning, performance management and reviews. An ideal candidate should hold at least 8 years of experience in building products from pre-launch through maturity and experience in building digital products or software (preferably B2B software). Understanding of technologies like React, JavaScript, Serverless, Python, AWS, Lambda would be a plus. Previous start-ups experience and experience in cooperation with Clients from manufacturing area would be an advantage. Due to the fact, that Head of Engineering will report directly to CTO we expect fluency in English.
