Group Chief Accountant (m/f)
- This position is responsible for accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, and financial control across the Group
- The position is based in Gdansk and have global responsibility
- Must be qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience of working with modern SAP ERP system
Client Details
- Our client is a very well established innovative business in technology sector with global presence
- We are currently recruiting on their behalf for Group Chief Accountant who will have regular contact with Board members
- The role reports to the Group CFO and will lead a team of 6 reports
Description
- Manage the work and development of staff members
- Maintain accurate accounting records
- Own the Group's accounting policies
- Prepare consolidated group accounts under US GAAP. IFRS experience is acceptable
- Implement monthly internal reporting of financial statements, including comparative reports and financial position and variance explanations
- Manage the SAP ERP system.
- Manage external auditor, who i based in the USA and assist in preparing annual audited financial statements
- Establish, own and manage the accounting control structure, including key reconciliations, account verification, authorities, access control etc. including relevant policies and procedures
- Establish, own and manage the businesses financial control structure, including relevant policies and procedures
- Maintain the inter-company process, including billing, corporate allocation and recoveries, and contract structure
- Assist colleagues and the CFO in budget/planning processes and special projects as required.
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
- Drive effective AR, AP and inventory processes
- Comply with local, state, and national government reporting requirements and tax filings
Profile
- A degree
- A professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- At least 7 years post qualification experience
- Experience of working with modern SAP ERP system
- Fluency in English
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Hands on, but able to delegate
- Work well with colleagues and foster effective relationship across the organization
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
- Ability to establish and meet deadline
- Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work with, and appreciate, different cultures
