Group Chief Accountant (m/f)

Client Details
Our client is a major multinational production and system supply company with global growing operations and all over the world. Due to continued growth of their organization, and changes in the finance structure, they are looking for an experienced candidate for the role of Group Chief Accountant. This individual will be fully responsible for managing the company's financial accounting operations within the Capital Group.
Description
- Supervise and monitor the entire accounting process including general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets and cash management
- Prepare financial statements according to Polish Accounting Standards and IFRS
- Responsible for preparing of the tax settlement and reports (VAT, CIT) according to the tax office requirements for different countries
- Liable for preparing of the Economic Zone Documents
- Report to the external financial institution such as GUS and NBP
- Work closely with external auditors and financial advisors
- Prepare and consolidate the financial statements within whole Capital Group
- Work closely with consultant to be able prepare the transfer pricing documents
- Control and account reconciliation for daily basis
- Proactively work on improving accounting process and take an active role on bringing positive change into the organization
- Responsible for leading and managing full accounting operations including the supervision of a team of 10+ accountants
Profile
- University education with accounting or finance related degree
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience as Chief Accountant in the international production company
- Experience in polish and international accounting standards
- Excellent knowledge of commercial and tax laws
- Ability to prepare tax reports CIT and VAT
- Proven track record of leadership with the ability to motivate people
- Understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported
- Experience with the use of information technology to effectively satisfy business needs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Polish and English
