Role description
As a Global Trade Operations (GTO) Associate you will support the GTO team. The GTO team is responsible for the integration of policy and execution activities for imports and exports to ensure that the medicines are delivered properly.
You will work on various tasks related to shipping, International Customs, Other Government Agency (OGA) import/export requirements and audits, SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) blocks, issue requests, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification codes, Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN), among other things.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with internal and external requestors to coordinate the inbound/outbound shipments.
- Work on documentations related to shipping, resolve commodity classifications, provide support for shipment permits and licenses.
- Provide expertise, consult and advise on international Customs and Other Government Agency (OGA) Import/Export requirements, and support OGA audits.
- Review and Resolve SAP-Global Trade Services (GTS) blocks.
- Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification codes and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) to drug products, raw materials, chemicals and other materials.
- Maintain import/export records.
Requirements
- Relevant education combined with 1+ years’ experience in Trade Compliance and with import/export processes such as valuation, commodity classification, country of origin determination.
- 1+ years’ experience in Customs & Trade, Logistics and/or Supply Chain.
- Experience releasing SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) blocks, e.g., legal control and sanctioned party list.
- SAP and Salesforce skills.
