Role Description

Global Design Centre Processing has strategic role to enable landing of products in the market by efficient application of existing and new processing technologies, including simplified manufacturing.
- Creation of conceptual processing designs within given technologies
- Ensuring definition of Core Processing Designs within given technologies
- Ensuring scale-up and scaling program within given area
- Ensuring compliance of the process design with relevant corporate policies and standards: GMPs and BPPs in particular, and contribution to its development, if relevant.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring identification, documentation and implementation of best processing practices across regions and given technologies
- Interpretation of processing data
- Providing advice to other UL functions in the subject areas
- High level of category/technology-specific processing expertise, in particular:
• Defining operating widows for processing technologies,
• Understanding of processing technologies constrains and the optimization of design accordingly
• Conducting processing calculations and application of relevant processing models
• Driving technology advancements in the assigned field, together with other R&D functions
• Collaboration with external equipment manufacturers to deliver new and improved technology designs
• Monitoring the technology field for improvements in designs, new technologies, training programs etc.
• Leadership and OTIF delivery of the assigned workstreams in the capacity of Process Engineer

Requirements

- Technical/Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Processing or related areas
- Minimum 3-5- years relevant technical experience in process engineering design and/or commissioning, research, development
- Process Design skills relevant for conceptual and feasibility stage of technology development
- Statistical data analysis
- Science & Technology Expertise
- Safety, Hygiene and Regulatory experience. Effective working in virtual teams
- Application of GMPs and BPPs standards in the assigned projects, in particular the practices concerning product and process design
- Develop new technologies
- Operate according to best practices in technology delivery (Project Execution, Early Product Management, Process Specifications, Process Validation, SIMAS, Quality Verification Program).
- Ensure know-how retention through:
- Documentation of project work and sharing it with R&D community
- Contribution to Processing training program
