Wymagania

The OPS turnaround engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to- day execution of tasks of the Turnaround Programme. Specifically assist the Lead OPS Turnaround Manager, TO and local CI managers in driving and delivering the transformation program. The analyst acts as the workstream ‘central nervous system’, tracking/reporting on all initiatives and highlighting where support/intervention is required from leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen local CI teams and initiative owners through content and management support
  • Facilitate problem solving in plants to drive initiatives pipeline
  • Capability building of CI teams through transferring operational excellence principles
  • Implement project management and review routines
  • Support overall progress of transformation:
  • Establish trustful relationships in the context of the initiatives and sustain relationships for future assignments
  • Identify further opportunities for performance and health improvement to discuss with Lead OPS Turnaround Manager
  • Track and communicate project status to Lead OPS Turnaround Manager:
    • Track project costs to ensure within allowed budget
    • Report initiative progress relative to approved targets and milestones
    • Report key learnings/decision made
  • Pro-actively identify “red flags”, risks and mitigation actions – continuously identify main risks to (critical path) migration activities, identify and drive actions to mitigate or minimize these risks, e.g., “SWAT style” problem solving to remove road blocks
  • Prepare for progress reviews – help prepare regular updates or report-outs to Lead OPS Turnaround Manager, and other respective groups

Required Skills:

  • Operational excellence, Lean in machining, assembly, indirect projects (diagnose, design, implementation)
  • Preferably an Engineering degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; communicates effectively to different levels of colleagues; synthesizes data and can give an elevator pitch
  • Very good English skills
  • Good objective QC: won’t accept half-baked work
  • Experience driving groups of people, not just downward, but also across and upward; engages to get stakeholders on board
  • Experience with synthesizing large amounts of data; establishes a financial and FTE baseline and tracks progress against it; knowledge of tracking / budgeting / HR tools preferred
  • Strong track record delivering complex work on time
  • Ability to travel 20-40% of time
  • Ability to manage time, balance multiple tasks and constantly work with changing priorities
  • "Generalist" understanding of Finance and Accounting, HR, Transportation & logistics, procurement, and IT, preferably with a deep expertise in one or two areas
