Role Description

Together with the procurement manager, the European or Global Buyer is responsible for coordination of procurement resources and leveraging global and cluster supplier network to deliver on supply chain and European and global targets

Responsibilities

- Support Procurement Manager in implementation of commodities and other raw material procurement strategies at global and country levels.
- Analyse and develop deep understanding of the supply markets, including external economic factors which influence those markets.
- Support in identifying and building partnerships with key suppliers on an operational level and manage Supplier compliance (audits, specifications, general terms and conditions).
- Evaluate procurement requirements and need of the business units and technical community.
- Monitor stocks to achieve effective inventory management harmonized with demand planning to ensure high availability of raw materials.
- Act as a key contact for commodities and other raw materials related topics for operational team and factories regarding in time delivery, quality and supplier service.
- Together with Procurement Manager develop contingency plans and alternatives to ensure supply security.
- Monitor overall performance of the supply network and ensure continuous improvement.
- Support delivery of bottom line savings by working together with Suppliers, R&D and the Supply Chain to identify and implementing cost saving programs.
- Support delivery of top line growth by working together with suppliers, marketing and R&D on Innovation program.
- Drive implementation of the Sustainability agenda in your Procurement area.

Requirements

- Higher professional education / university degree
- Experience in the areas of commodities and buying of food related products.
- Experience in an agile and changing and international environment is an advantage
-Exemplify a high degree of personal integrity and interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication.
- Enjoy working in a virtual and multicultural working environment.

- Travel globally for Supplier meetings, Industry meetings, project meetings and team meetings.
