In this position, will be supporting major programs, reviewing design, ensuring right prioritization of automation activities as well as right focus using the right technologies to deliver best in class solution to increase productivity, safety and quality. He will also build the digital community in the business unit managing functionally the different automation engineer worldwide and support key other functions on cross functional activities.

Four our client listed on the London Stock Exchange global engineering company, due to company strategy focused on accelerating automation and digitization we experienced candidates for newly created position of Global Automation Manager for Flow control business unit.

Description

  • Lead the definition of the BU strategy, roadmap and innovation plan around automation
  • Support and manage functionally automation engineer's worldwide by working in strong collaboration with regional Engineering Managers to define their objectives and priorities based on the strategy and roadmap
  • Ensure a governance is in place to monitor progress of the different key automation program ensuring the delivery of ROI and benefits agreed in time and quality
  • Provide expertise, challenge and support construction, design, preparation and implementation of the projects
  • Drive major automation activities of the road map in collaboration with key stakeholders from Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Lean, IT and any other relevant function
  • Develop and own the BU Automation methodology to ensure structured approach is follow (lean studies, right design, involvement of right stakeholders, etc...)
  • Ensure exchanges between sites for best practice sharing and solutions scalability
  • Educate management and key stakeholders on technologies and key enabler of automation
  • Contribute to global initiative on knowledge sharing, benchmark and capabilities building

Profile

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering
  • More than 7-10 years' relevant experience in Automation with multiple successful implementation of major CAPEX projects including Industry 4.0 technologies with direct accountability of cost, planning and quality
  • Experience as automation engineer on various projects
  • Strong expertise allowing to review and challenge construction, design, preparation and implementation of process improvements on new and existing lines with permanent interest in learning about new and innovative solutions and technologies.
  • Strong influential skills and leadership with previous experience of direct and non-direct management with demonstrated project and time Management skills in a highly matrixial environment.
  • Good experience of OT (Operations technologies) projects (MES level, network and infrastructure) with ability to interact with different stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, hands on not hesitating to proactively support shop floor
  • Flexibility to travel on regular basis worldwide
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
