General Ledger Team Leader
Place of work: Łódź

Responibilities:
• Supervising team responsible for general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Full responsibility over accounting, tax and statistical reporting in assigned entities:
• US GAAP accounting (quarterly and annual Group reporting)
• Statutory accounting, reporting and audits
• Tax compliance work
• Ongoing relationship with head office and other corporate functions
• Assisting in executing a shared services center relocation project
• Monitoring KPIs
• Driving process improvement initiatives
• Recruitment and training of new team members
• Providing leadership to an assigned team
• Responsibility for customer care and complex query resolution
• First contact point for external advisors
• Spotting and resolving recurring performance problems and improvement opportunities.
Requirement:
• Masters Degree required, with additional accounting qualifications preferred.
• At least 4 years proven operational experience in accounting function (GL, AP).
• Experience in a multinational shared services environment or Big 4 firm preferred.
• Deep understanding of Finance Management and GL processes.
• US GAAP or IFRS and consolidated financial reporting experience required.
• Strong operational management and leadership skills
• Able to create an environment for the enhancement of process knowledge
• Able to adapt to changing objectives and priorities
• Strong communication skills
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Project management skills
• Able to motivate team members
• Previous transition experience will be considered as an asset.
• Experience with big ERP solution is required (SAP will be preferred)
• MS Office (advanced MS Excel)
• Fluent English required, additional languages an advantage.
