GL Process Expert (m/f)
In this position, a person will work closely with German business entities, supporting them in keeping the books straight. This role is focused on pure General Ledger accounting according to IFRS.

Description

Involvement in setting up and standardisation of GL accounting process in Poland for German business entities
- Provide subject matter expertise and implement best accounting practice and operational efficiency
- Provide recommendations for improving accounting process
- Participation in month/year end closing process
- Reconcile accounts, monthly reports, financial statements according to IFRS

Execute monthly and quarterly preparation of balance sheet accounts reconciliations

Prepare journal entries with appropriate support for a German Legal entity

Analyze and ensure accuracy of data and accounts

Support local audits

Participation in the preparation of tax returns
- Supervising and supporting other person from the team

Interact with other departments including Controlling, IT, Sales operations, Engineering, and Legal.
Profile
-
Higher education degree,
-
Min. 7 years of experience in running accountancy for an international manufacturing industry (e.g. as Independent Accountant or Senior GL Accountant or GL Team Leader)

Knowledge of IFRS is a must,

Knowledge of ERP system
- Excellent MS Office knowledge, especially Excel,

Excellent English language command

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to cooperate efficiently in a team
