Hays has been retained to recruit a new General Manager for one of the leading suppliers of components to the construction sector.
The position will have overall responsibility for the operation in Poland including engineering, manufacturing, sales, finance and operations departments to achieve overall profitability and will be responsible for the overall financial performance of the company.
Having insight in production calculations and analysis you will participate in the management of the whole manufacturing cycle from planning, budgeting and forecasting through raw material sourcing and procurement as well as supply chain management.
You will establish sales and profit goals and will be accountable for meeting or exceeding targets on a consistent basis and have overall responsibility for the company’s budget planning.
Acting as a mentor and advice counsel you will develop motivation and identity among employees. The position is very operational, but you will also be an important contributor to the company's strategy regularly reporting to the Corporate Management and participating in management meetings.
We are looking for an experienced self-starter, a serious "Type A" personality with 8+ years experience in manufacturing and sales environment. Ideally a graduate or equivalent in engineering, you will need an excellent grasp of English as well as good financial and business acumen with focus on overall strategies and results. Previous P&L responsibility along with a strong understanding of key financial metrics is a must. Experience from a mediumplant environment is preferred.
