Position: Accountant – Accounts Payable (AP)
Location: Poznan
Reports to: AP Team Leader
AP Accountantis responsible for the accurate, efficient and timely typical AP tasks and for delivering accounting services with full accordance to the process requirements and legal regulations. AP Accountants are expected to handle all assigned tasks with initial training, after gaining experience they are expected to be able to perform these tasks independently and to control the quality and efficiency of their work. Associates identify areas for improvements and implement changes.

Responsibilities:
- Validate and process vendor invoices within specified deadlines
- Process Consignment Stock, EDI and Self-Billing corrections with appropriate approval
- Perform quality audit on booked documents
- Manage blocked or parked invoices within the workflow
- Investigate and resolve vendor inquires related to invoices, payments and vendor reminders
- Follow-up and communicate clearly with all business partners to solve and reduce open invoice documents in workflow
- Ensure vendor and business unit issue resolution within agreed SLAs
- Prepare supplier statements and ensure payment to agreed terms & conditions
- Prepare simple reports
- Participate in AP closing activities
- Maintain a control environment for the processes represented by MGS Finance
- Train and support new employees (interns, junior accountants etc.)
- Take part in ad-hoc projects and support continuous improvement environment
- Other non-described tasks as per agreed business unit service catalogue
Requirements:
- Knowledge of, and experience in basic finance functional competencies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail
- English language knowledge required
- Other European language skills desired
