Role Description

The European Buyer Oils is responsible for commodity procurement by coordinating procurement resources and leveraging global and cluster supplier network to deliver on supply chain and global targets. The portfolio covers all liquid oils e.g. rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil. Or tropical oils.

Responsibilities

- Actively involved in the design and implementation of commodities strategy (primary focus on Oils and Fats).
- Analyze and develop deep understanding of the supply markets, including external economic factors which influence those markets.
- Prepare information on purchase prices and conditions and support the financial analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis.
- Identifying and building partnerships with key suppliers on an operational level (incl. contract management) and manage supplier compliance.
- Act as a key contact for factories regarding in time delivery, quality and supplier service of oils portfolio.
- Monitor overall performance of the supply network and ensure continuous improvement.
- Execute cost savings and support deployment of innovation agenda at global and regional levels.
- Drive implementation of the Sustainability agenda in your Procurement area.

Requirements

- Higher professional education / university degree (BSc or MSc).
- Experience in a commodities company, or within Oils & Fats is an advantage.
- Experience in ingredients buying and Commodity risk management experience is a plus.
- Experience with large-scale change management projects and in international assignments are a plus.
- Negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication.
- Enjoy working in a virtual and multicultural working environment.

- Travel globally for Supplier meetings, Industry meetings, project meetings and team meetings.
