Your new company
The Manager of End User Computing is responsible for the Service Strategy, Design, Transition and Operations of company’s End User Computing services. End User Computing covers End User Devices, Client Applications and Unified Communications.
Your new role
The scope of the role includes: - Leading a fresh approach to EUC Service Strategy and Persona-Centred Service Design, defining what each persona needs for their role, and defining a product (devices, applications, communications) and service (service definitions, SLAs, improved user experience) that meets those needs. - Measurably improving the customer experience when requesting products (e.g. using service catalogues), whilst using the products (e.g. clear voice connections), and whilst trying to resolve issues (e.g. self-service knowledge or troubleshooting analytics). - Transforming the provision, in-life and end-of-life support and management of a device portfolio that is better aligned to personas. - Transforming the delivery, maintenance and support of applications, including Microsoft Office365, virtual application delivery and app stores. - Transforming our varied and separate communication and collaboration technologies into a Unified Communication service of such a simplicity and quality that people can focus on their collaboration. - Defining, applying and auditing our IT controls aligned to various compliance and regulatory requirements. - Overseeing the improvement and performance management of internal and external service providers.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be relevant candidate you need to hold at least 2 to 3 years with an IT leadership role with similar breadth and responsibilities with a Global enterprise and experience in leadership of similar scale IT Technology transformation, ideally in End User Computing and/or Service Management. An ideal candidate should have technical understanding of Windows 10 operating system, end point protection, device configuration and compliance (e.g. Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager SCCM / InTune), image management, application packaging, and Virtual Desktops/Citrix. Moreover, we expect candidates to have technical understanding of Office 365 including SharePoint, Outlook and OneDrive for Business and technical understanding of Unified Communication including Skype for Business, Video Conferencing devices and suites, voice communications. Understanding of ServiceNow and the automation of service management processes will be a strong value.
